I used to not want to go to my practices when I was on my period because of my painful cramps. Learning more about period pain made me realize that exercise is good for relieving pain during your period. Now I exercise all the time!

It would have been helpful to have some strategies to talk to my doctor. I didn't really want to take medication. I told her that Advil gave me stomach aches. She prescribed something to help with the stomach aches. It was frustrating to end up with more medications rather than less and no real solution for the pain.
